Lovely Nelly - this ship was wrecked off Whitley Sands in 1861. Cullercoats Lifeboat came to the rescue, famously pulled across the land by the women of Cullercoats, to launch from Whitley Bay, as depicted in John Charlton’s iconic painting ‘The Women’.
A superb full-bodied amber pale ale, a great session beer – with a biscuit malt flavour balanced with a smooth bitterness from the finest English Fuggles and Golding hops.
